Nazareth got it right — Love Hurts, so why do we keep falling in love?

May Bouquet by Katie Michaelson.

Nazareth screeches out the anguish like you might do while running wild in the streets after he done you wrong — the dirty rat.

My best friend just told me she was in love. She is 74. They are both on dialysis but living a wonderful life — even going to dances.

The original by The Everly Brothers captures the softer side of heartache: The sweet difficulties of puppy love, you know, the love that lasts for life.

Our puppy love may last for life. Mine did. That does not mean we can’t find exciting new loves.

So with all this pain, why do we keep falling in love?

We are most alive when in love.

What music reminds you of your love?
