Great advice — and you are thinking, who has the time? Here’s one you can practice on the go to release anxiety and bring your focus back to the present moment.
- Pause.
- Choose an object in your surroundings.
- Focus on its shape and texture. This can be a candle, a flower vase, a rock, your bag, a leaf, anything.
- Look at the object, eyes open or partially closed. Relax.
- Notice its every minute detail — patterns, scratches, shape, texture.
This will keep your mind in the present moment and allow your body to unwind from any anxiety/tension you are experiencing.
When you feel calmer — get back to life.
Let go of grudges, be at peace.
