Once upon a time, there was a woman who was broken. Her stars were all out of wack. She had dreamed of true love and happily ever afters. Then she settled. She was sad, and hurt, and not-whole.
Maybe true happiness doesn’t exist, she thought to herself.
Who knows?
Maybe she read too many novels and got caught up in the fantasy.
Maybe love was an illusion — something made up for the movies.
And then she met him.
And the pieces of her heart started to come back together.
The sparkle in his smile lit up the twinkle in her eye.
The stars aligned.
and the rest —
as is cliché —
was history.
