One Minute Mindfulness Breathing Exercise
To breathe out stress and breathe in peace.
- Lower your eyes.
- Notice where you feel your breath — air going in/out of your nostrils or the rise and fall of your chest or tummy.
- If you are not sure, place your hand on your stomach. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your hand as you breathe. Try longer inhales and exhales.
- Focus on your breath.
- As your mind wanders, gently steer it back to your breath.
- Do this for one minute. More if you want to.
Even one minute of this will help you pause and be in the moment.
Breathe out stress when you exhale, breathe in peace when you inhale.
