One ‘silly’ thing I had to adjust to living in the northern hemisphere was how to write the date…

I know it sounds lame, but in New Zealand, we always wrote it in the form of day/month/year. It was ingrained in me for 29 years.

Here, it’s written year/month/day. On product containers, they often just write the ‘best before’ as the day/month. Or is it the month/day? I’m never sure, especially if the day is anywhere from the 1–12th of the month.
