Over my lifetime, I’ve adopted or purchased many pets.

I’ve never had a system for choosing names, but I’ve noticed many of my companions had human ones.

I’ve had cats named Charlotte and Lily and dogs called Maggie, Joey, and Fraser.

Some I named, while others came with theirs, but I preferred them to Snoopy or Rover.

When we adopted our cat, we chose Skye because of an incident related to the sky, but…
