Today is National Grandparents Day.

As a writer, connecting your work to special days may help build and support your community.

Some grandparents have a unique way of opening doors to life, making beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Although my grandparents weren’t perfect and they had their issues, I know they loved me. With age, I realized their true worth and appreciated them more deeply.
