Puppy Love- Is It Me or the Yogurt?

Yes, that’s my bathrobe!

I am a creature of habit.

My breakfast is the same every morning.

My dog also has his habitual morning routine. Pee, poop, then onto our bed to snooze until walkies.

He’s an 18-month-old Jack Russell mix. Much of his training is still in the emergent stage. Sit, down, wait, fetch are all pretty solid. Recall is a work in progress. Unless, of course, there is a spoonful of yogurt involved. No words are needed. The click of the kettle, the clink of a bowl on the granite counter, the slight sigh of the fridge door opening and he’s at my feet in a flash, looking up in anticipation.

From dead asleep to eagerly awaiting his morning spoonful of dairy bliss in seconds. Shame it’s such an impractical treat for outdoor recall training. Is anyone making yogurt-flavored kibble?
