Saturday Morning Pancakes
What’s your go-to weekend breakfast?
Golden-brown circles drenched in syrupy goodness
With melted chocolate chips spread between the layers,
When sliced into triangles reveal chocolate rivers
This is a sweet weekend craving I always possess
A weekly pancake routine that’s always delicious
It rarely ever allows for any leftovers
Because this fluffy recipe needs no repairs
And fills my heart and tummy with happiness
On occasion, other ingredients are thrown in the mix
Blueberries, bananas, sprinkles, and nuts are always welcome
Whatever will satisfy the dessert for a breakfast fix
Covered in jelly or whipped cream, nothing is too random
Just embrace whatever toppings your inner child picks
Pair it with your daily cuppa for the perfect twosome
