September 1 was International Charity Day: I missed it and am slightly angry.

Yesterday I watched a documentary about poverty in India. The images clashed with what the media has portrayed. I looked up current stats which were uplifting but seemed suspicious, then I read articles similar to THIS ONE.

The family in my feature image appears poor. They are beautiful. Did they get paid for the use of their photo? They look healthy. I’d love to share with them.

What would I share and how?

All I can do is be as kind and generous with those around me.

After thinking about it, I’m glad there is an International Charity Day. It is a day to remember how fortunate we are and commit to being charitable.
