Smile faded

My smile faded.
Tears rolled down.
I couldn’t control them despite the fact that I was traveling on the bus with many unknown people. I was sobbing without thinking of being judged.
I saw someone I had not seen in 4 months, from a closed window. I reacted impulsively by waving my hand, “Hi.” He appeared shocked and waved back.
The bus moved in a few seconds and my smile faded away. The reality of our relationship is bitter. The thought of us not being together struck my mind, my eyes cried.
My heart ached.
Happy or sad?
What was that feeling?
I don’t understand it.
