Soothe Away Your Stress with Mantras
Mantras are short words or phrases. When repeated, they help you center yourself. The repeated sounds calm your mind, bringing clarity.
Of course, you can use mantras anywhere, anytime, in any situation or in meditation. For example, to calm down when you are angry, to boost your self-confidence, or simply calm yourself.
Some examples of mantras are:
I breathe in, I breathe out.
Just keep going.
All is well.
This too shall pass.
I will be okay.
When you feel stressed, repeat these to yourself, slowly, quietly. Close your eyes if you like. Feel your breathing slow down. This process interrupts your stressful feelings, comforting you, soothing you, and returning you to the present moment.
