Spring in the Wisconsin Northwoods: A Day Later

It’s hard to believe that yesterday I wrote about spring being upon us. I mean the calendar tells us so, right?!

Today, it’s snowed all day. It’s been a steady, gentle snow, but so far we have received three to four inches, as seen by what has accumulated on our deck chairs.

It’s been a day to read books, lounge under comfy blankets, and make lasagna for a delicious dinner.

On days like this, it’s nice to not go anywhere and relax fully—something I’ve needed to do for some time now. I painted a bookmark and will likely do another before I retire to bed this evening.

We talked our son into waiting until morning to leave to head back to the Twin Cities. A little more time with one in the nest makes me happy.

Winter’s back.
