Sundays Are For Cartwheels

How to build resilience the fun way

When’s the last time you skipped rope, bounced on a trampoline or generally just did the things you enjoyed as a child?

There is a lot to be said for pursuing childhood activities.

  • For one, they reconnect you with your inner child.
  • Second, they tend to keep you fit!
  • They also let children get a fun glimpse into adulthood.

It’s important to carry your own heritage of fun as you journey through.

  • Acts as a deterrent to low mood.
  • Can be passed down to the next generation (whether it’s to your own children, nieces, nephews, or your friends’ children) simply by being practised.

I can’t begin to tell you how much fun picking up that diabolo was last Sunday, and how amazing doing a cartwheel felt today (although I then saw stars!).

What will you pick up again?
