Chipmunk, chipmunk
What will you eat?
Will it be an acorn
Or another tasty treat?

Watch for the fox
And the speedy hawk
Who snatch their suppers
At six o’clock.

Please look my way
When I’m feeling down
To make me smile
Instead of frown.

Sleep well tonight
My little friend.
We’ll meet tomorrow
Around the bend.

Sometimes, thinking about a chipmunk makes me smile. Seeing one in the wild is even better.

May the pictures of the chipmunks featured here bring a smile to your face.
