The Fresh Batman of Bel-Air
A darker and different reboot
I must’ve unconsciously overheard something about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, “Bel-Air”, on the Peacock streaming service. Because I dreamt my own version the other night.
Rather than a simple reboot or cast reunion show, this featured Will Smith returning to the Bel-Air mansion to help his cousins after the death of his uncle, Philip Banks.
Will discovers that his uncle was not just any conservative, wealthy man. Following in the footsteps of Bruce Wayne, he was secretly fighting crime!
After finding his uncle’s secret “Batcave” and watching the video explanation meant for his cousin, Carlton, Will decides to take up the crime fighting mantle himself. And does a much better job against cooler villains than in his film, Wild Wild West.
I would totally watch that show!
