The Grand Standoff
A troupe of monkeys and I. They want to get to the fruits in the back — papaya, passion fruit and carambola, and I feel like being a pain in their way.
Normally, they wait around until I leave and in a two bounds and a leap, are amongst the fruit trees. Today I did not feel like giving way.
I wanted to see how long they would hang around. We engaged in a stare down, me even refusing to go to the bathroom.
Surely they shall wreak havoc on my sunflower plants when they begin to display their wares soon.
Score 1 for me today, score 20 for them tomorrow. This is a lose-lose game I am playing.
Suddenly I heard a loud crash on the roof; they have found another route.
