The Hardest Part of My Flight?

Finding a power outlet

I booked Exit Row seats for every flight leg.

The automated bag tagger worked as it was supposed to. The security screening went smoothly. Boarding was quick and efficient.

Then I settled into my seat, and tried to plug in my phone charger.

Because it’s an Exit Row, the outlets weren’t on the seatbacks in front of me. That makes sense. If you’re trying to evacuate a plane, you don’t want wires stretched across the aisle!

But I couldn’t use my phone for a 3 hour flight on battery!

I finally spotted the friendly glowing blue light below my seat. I tried to plug the charger into the outlet. Nope. Flipped the orientation. Still nope. Pulled the charger apart and tried the USB connector. That worked.

Whew!

I could play video games.
