The Infamous A&S Wrapping Paper

Remembering my aunt

My aunt lived in New York City. She didn’t drive.

When the department store A&S was getting rid of leftover Christmas wrapping paper, she got their huge, industrial-sized rolls. For free.

The trick was getting them home. Somehow, she found a shopping cart, loaded the rolls into it, and wrestled the whole lot home, by subway.

Wow! Did you notice that? It was your day flying by. This publication is your place to enjoy stories of 150 words or fewer about plants and people, wild animals and pets, gardens and food, how-to and how-not-to — written to inform and delight. Did I mention humor?
