The Isolator helmet is exactly what every writer needs!
The Isolator was invented in 1925 by Hugo Gernsback. The purpose of this delightful piece of apparel was to block out all sound and vision in order to help the wearer concentrate on the project in hand.
That is — it’s the perfect thing for a writer!
The helmet cut out noise by up to 95% and the teeny-tiny horizontal slit for seeing through prevented the wearer from being distracted by any movements near them. Oxygen was piped in not so that one didn’t die, but because high concentration oxygen can contribute to cognitive performance.
This invention sounds ideal for avoiding checking emails and being led down rabbit holes on the internet! I’m going to rush out and get one immediately!
