The Spring Witches
Are preparing their cauldrons
Pagan practices and witchcraft aren’t the prerogatives of Halloween alone.
Take Walpurgis Night in Germany. Although later combined with celebrating English Christian missionary Saint Walpurga, the event originally has pagan roots.
Six months after Halloween, pack your wand and travel to Brocken, the heart of Germany.
There, you’ll experience a spooky gathering that’s been held for centuries at the Blocksberg, as the mountain is called.
On April 30th, the Harz mountains are set ablaze with fires and fireworks to welcome the spring season back after a long, harsh winter.
You won’t need the full moon on that date (it won’t be until 2075) to join other witches and demons in a show of magic powers.
Simply let the inner mystic in you dance in the shadows of generations of witchy figures before you.
