What are your thoughts on death?
What do you think about death as far as a topic of conversation?
Does it make you squirm?
Does it fill you with angst?
Does it interest you, enrage you?
We all know we aren’t going to live forever, and we will at some point assume room temperature, and yet we sometimes can’t bring ourselves to view it as a normal part of life.
As a child I viewed death through the lenses of the afterlife. It still disturbed me because according to my religious indoctrination it meant the majority of people who did not believe as I did would not get to heaven. The thought of hell terrified me to no end.
I think this religious indoctrination is the root cause for our terror and discomfort we experience by even talking about it.
