Time to switch off your gadgets
Disconnect to connect with yourself
Being bombarded with a continuous stream of phone notifications/emails can be so overwhelming. Information overload is not fun.
Today, take a little time off — 30 minutes to begin with — to turn off all your devices. Just put away all those gadgets and give yourself a respite from all the noise, the lights, the screens.
- Sit quietly. Calmly.
- Be aware of your thoughts.
- Enjoy the peace and quiet.
- Gradually, try and build this up to a morning off. Go for a long walk. Cook a new recipe. Catch up on your favorite hobby.
The calmness this brings will let you connect with that part of you that seems disconnected from the world around you.
