Transforming Self-Doubt Into Empowerment
When we suffer a setback, we blame ourselves and our incapability. We lead ourselves to believe in the worst.
This belief is more damaging than the setback itself.
We are humans. We all make mistakes. We all suffer setbacks.
We need to remember that it is entirely normal to face momentary setbacks.
It is more important to believe that failure is an event, not a person.
The earlier we break the loop of self-doubt, the sooner we can reconstruct positive beliefs of empowerment that can help us progress.
The important first step in the reconstructive cycle is to embrace the emotion.
It is perfectly okay to feel disappointed, frustrated, or even upset.
What is not okay, is to apportion blame — on ourselves.
