The Wandering Poet

When It’s Real

a sonnet

after the novel by Erin Watt.

It feels like every star has found its light;
even the ones that died an age ago
become, for just an instant, perfect, bright;
and surely all the cosmos needs to know
I love you–for an hour or a year,
eternity, if all our charts stay true–
and I release the ever-present fear
dictating that the heavens stay so…

Wow! Did you notice that? It was your day flying by. This publication is your place to enjoy stories of 150 words or fewer about plants and people, wild animals and pets, gardens and food, how-to and how-not-to — written to inform and delight. Did I mention humor?
