When You Have Waited 3 Years for a Strawberry
Will it be glorious or a disappointment?

Three years ago, I planted some strawberry plants in pots in the garden.
Finally, today I picked a single ripe looking strawberry. In previous years there were fewer strawberries and slugs or snails got to them first.
I brought the strawberry inside, but I am nervous to eat it.
Will the wait be worth it?
When you find a good strawberry, a sweet properly ripened one, it is the best fruit in the world.
But some strawberries are disappointing. They are sour and lack flavour.
There are many more green strawberries still to ripen though. If this one is no good, there’s still hope.
