It’s true! The bark, twigs, and leaves of the birch tree offer anti-inflammatory properties. The easiest way to extract medicinal qualities is to steep the twigs in 100 proof alcohol.

During spring, tree sap is pushing the twigs and leaves up and out. Cultivating during this season makes for wonderful extractions and teas.
