“While technology can tweak processes and change things around the margins, it doesn’t fundamentally alter what you need to do to learn because learning takes place in the brain, and brains haven’t changed all that much.” (Scott H. Young)

Technology is a tool to assist learning, not a replacement for actual learning.

A language app can help us learn a new language, but we still have to learn the intricacies of grammar, build the vocabulary, and practise writing and speaking.

The human brain is a learning machine without an instruction manual.

Learning how to learn is a long journey of methodological experimentation that is tailored to the brain’s ability to assimilate knowledge and recall it when required.

Even sophisticated technologies like artificial intelligence cannot help us bypass the process of systematic, deep learning.
