Yesterday, the cover came off my pool ready for summer. Today, I had to visit the pool shop to buy chlorine, acid and sunscreen.

After adding the chemicals, I turned on the filter. The motor kicked in, but there was no suction. Frustrated, I turned it to backwash and flipped the switch.

The motor cut out. What did I do? There was no power to any appliances and not even the light bulbs were working. I must have blown the main fuse. I checked the fuse box, but…
