My little unobtrusive car, perfect for traffic enforcement?

I drove through Chicago today and the “race car” drivers weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds are genuine menaces. By high speeds I mean at least 100 mph in heavy traffic. I get that the police are stretched thin and all but one police car I saw on the road were dealing with accidents or stopped vehicles. I got to thinking: I have a front and back camera on my car, but when I checked, the resolutions weren’t good enough to capture license plates or images of drivers.
