Even Extroverts get Tired.
Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis presents:
Mindful Mondays, with Waylon Lewis.
“Every Monday, I offer a mindful reminder for our everyday life.” ~ Waylon Lewis
This week, Waylon talks about the age-old introvert and extrovert “myth.” He’s addressed this in the past on Walk the Talk Show (give it a listen!).
But this time he’s got six ways to deal with lots and lots and lots and lots of stress:
“…I’ll add maitri, good old Buddhist maitri. I talk about this all the time. Being willing to be nice to myself when my brain is fried and I can’t be charming, I can’t be genuine, I can’t talk to anyone.
I have no idea who I am..! My brain is blown out and fried. And in that space, being willing to say, ‘Waylon, you’re doing your best. Maybe it’s not very good right now, but this is hard.’
Just being honest with yourself, being kind, is powerful. And maitri is not the same as kindness, so sometimes you’re tough on yourself.” ~ Waylon Lewis
