We are always taught to be hardworking, to not be lazy to achieve success in life. But Jack Ma seems to disagree in this article.

It is indeed interesting to see how laziness, traditionally viewed as a type of weakness, being propagated as a desirable quality by Jack Ma.

Of course, he highlights that he is referring to someone being smart lazy.

So, what is smart lazy?

Smart lazy is a mindset that helps to solve problems creatively.

Instead of being hardworking all the time, prodding and working on the problem, smart lazy people will get tired and want to find a new solution to help then solve the problem faster.

Instead of accepting a tedious, age-old way of doing things, smart lazy people try to come up with innovative ways of achieving the same results or more in a more efficient manner.

So don’t always be hardworking.

Be lazy, and sometimes question the present: Are there no better ways of accomplishing something?
