This article really touches on a very relevant topic in our social media world today.

When we are posting something and putting it out to the world on social media, what is it for? Is it in the interest of others, or a self serving act?

More often than not, it is somewhere in between.

You might want to genuinely share your joy and experiences, but might have inadvertently induced jealousy or demonstrated narcissism.

In other cases, some posts such as ‘The Brag’ can be rather unnecessary.

The point of this article and this post is not to discourage creation and sharing. It is definitely also not to promote creation only when it is ‘perfect’ and absolutely valuable to the world.

Instead it is really about putting more thought and reflection into the content and posts shared online: To evaluate its consider and value (or lack thereof).

More importantly, to consider what good it brings to the audience, not just yourself.
