5 Ways to Master the Art of Letting Go

Sometimes we find ourselves in an unhappy place.

We may not be achieving as much as we would like to be.

We may not be living to our fullest potential

We may not be as happy as we deserve to be.

If you are going through a low phase in life, remember that there is always something you can do to improve your experience.

Never give up.

The most important tool that I have learned is the power of letting go.

When we let go of our thoughts, emotions and attachments we free our minds and start to experience inner peace and happiness.

Here are the 5 ways that have helped me master the art of letting go.

  1. Release Attachment

Identify what or who we are attached to. Once we have identified our attachments we can consciously choose to release these attachments by realising that they are not essential to our wellbeing.

2. Accept it

Accepting our reality as it is can have a transformative effect on our wellbeing.

When we accept that most things are out of our control our minds are freed to focus on what we can control, our thoughts; feelings and emotions.

3. Forgive

Forgiveness helps us let go of our past.

When we forgive someone for hurting us we release the anger and sadness it has caused us.

4. Surrender yourself

Surrender yourself to the natural flow of the universe.

No matter how much hardship you are going through there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Trust in the process, ride the waves and go with it.

5 Be Mindful

Living in the here and now helps us detach ourselves from the negative self talk that have been holding us back.

We must observe our own experiences without judging them.

This will help us to let them go.

Learning to let go and surrender to the universe is not an easy task but once you master it you will be amazed at the beautiful life you can create.
