Day 9: Oldest City in America

Did you know that St. Augustine is one of the oldest cities in America and also the most “haunted”?

In St. Augustine you can see the oldest Jail, go ghost haunting, visit the historic Ponce De Leon fountain of youth, visit interactive museums and, go back in time by visiting the first school.

Saint Augustine is very antique and old fashion looking and that is the beauty of it. There are many interesting places to go to so there's always something to do. There are various museums all around such as the wax museum where you can find famous athletes, celebrities, Disney princesses and even the presidents. It was a very cool experience to see the wax figures look so real they creep you out. To enhance the “haunting” vibes at St. Augustine, they tell you scary stories about the wax figures moving as if there was paranormal activity. The wax museum also had an old drug store in the entrance of the museum where you can see old medicine in there antique glass bottles.

You can also visit the oldest Jail where they give you a tour of everything the jail used to do to the inmates and give you an inside view of the cells and some of the inside scoop that would go on in there. If you are into ghost haunting or like the feeling of getting scared, there is a ghost haunting tour that takes place at night.

Although St. Augustine is pretty old and antique it is still a super fun and beautiful place to visit.
