Day 9: Dance Provides Career Opportunities to be on Broadway, Work for a Professional Dance Company, or an Agency.
In the dance world, making it on top is very difficult. You need to be able to get out there as soon as possible, or not you’ll never get there. However, you do need patience because the process might take long or quickly.
The pathway to get a career in dance is you need to have a resume ready always because you never know when an audition will pop up.
Dancing on Broadway.
When it comes to broadway, if you are a “triple threat” acting, singing, and dancing, then it will be easy for you to book that role in a broadway show. Being on a Broadway show, is a good career for some.
For example, you are doing something that you are passionate about and you are getting paid. A job like this could be taken away in a minute, so it is the dancer’s job to never give up.
Another career is dancing with a professional dance company.
Dancing with a professional company will pay you for doing something that you love, you get to travel around the world, make friendships that will last a lifetime, and keep your body in shape.
Dancing with an Agency.
A talent agency will help you with find the job in what you are best at. When you find these jobs and constantly book them, your confidence will start to boost and you won’t want to stop.
Besides from dancing, it teaches you how to one-up your career. It also teaches you on how to start your own business and how to teach other young dancers the right way to dance.
This goes to show how you could do something you love for a long-time, and get paid.
