Day 5: For a Simple Couple’s Costume, Try Being Cosmo & Wanda
The Fairly OddParents gave us a funny and loving couple in Cosmo and Wanda, if you and your partner can relate, why not embrace their look too this Halloween?
In my opinion, this is one of the most simple, cost-efficient couple’s Halloween costumes that are still recognizable.
Both of the characters wear simple costumes with Wanda wearing a yellow short-sleeve shirt with black pants and black shoes, and Cosmo wearing a white long-sleeve dress shirt and a tie, also paired with black pants and shoes. Odds are, you already have most of these items in your closet.
With the outfit taken care of, you will also need a pair of small crowns, a pair of star wands, and two pairs of wings. For the crown and wands, try shopping for them at your local Halloween stores like Party City or Spirit Halloween. Now, because the shape of Cosmo and Wanda’s wings are more simple than most store-bought wings, you may have to DIY them if you choose to incorporate this element into the costume. This can easily be done by drawing the wings with a light blue marker on four full-size sheets of blank paper, cutting them out, and taping them onto your shirts.
Lastly, part of what makes Cosmo and Wanda so recognizable, even when they take the form of objects in the show, is their colored hair. For this costume, you should buy some green and pink hair spray for the big day!
