We are a society that is completely fascinated with serial killers of every make and model. From sadistic “pretty boys” to horrifying clowns next door — we can’t help but to become captivated by their sinister natures. But what creates these killers and the shadows they unleash on the world? Is it a lack of love? Is it abuse? Paranormal evil? The answer is complex, and it’s one that changes from decade-to-decade. Case-to-case.

There are a lot of theories out there about serial killers and what makes a murderer. Are they born that way? Do they come into being through some evil magic? The truth is far more complicated than that. The worst killers in our society have been both born and made. And the cycle will continue until we acknowledge our own patterns and natures.
