Conquest in Vey

Mercenary soldiers from Black Shark Cult, with allied support, liberate Vey.
For over a month South Placid has been the front line of the Caldari / Gallente war zone. Black Shark Cult, fighting outnumbered two to one, have slowed the Gallente offensive to a crawl.
After two weeks with no progress Aideron Robotics accepted that they could not defeat Black Shark Cult even when outnumbering them two to one.
Desperate and demoralised they called for reinforcements. A full half of Gallente occupational forces deployed to assist the incompetent robots.
Now outnumbered four to one, and with some talented pilots joining the forces arrayed against them Black Shark swapped tactics to a fighting withdrawal. The Gallente began to make territorial gains but at an embarrassingly slow rate.
After week three, the two least valuable systems had fallen. Black Shark forced the Gallente to pay a high price for the advance. The siege of Loes required 40 Gallente pilots to spend 5 hours skirmishing against five to ten Black Shark Cultists.
The Gallente unable to deal with the skirmishing cruisers employed by Black Shark escalated by bringing a capital class carrier to the battle. While this temporarily drove away the Black Shark Skirmishers it proved to have counter-productive results.
With capital class prey on the field of battle, much larger predators began to take notice. The Gallente then had to spend a further 3 hours running and hiding from the capital ship wielding beast they woke.
After 5 exhausting hours the Gallente finally captured castle Loes. Loes however is already fortified with a caldari citadel so the conquest is a hollow victory.
Week four progressed a lot slower for the Gallente. Demoralised after the weekend fewer soldiers were seen on the front line. With the Gallente tied up struggling with Black Shark in the South the Caldari siezed the system of Essier in North Placid.
Black Shark then launched its new peasant army. Black Shark Mercenary Warriors provided cover for the growing army of militarized farmers. This combined arms approach slowed further Gallente advances in the south and allowed a bold counter attack. On the 24th of February the combined peasants and Black Shark mercenaries broke through Gallente resistance and reached the walls of castle Vey. A quickly formed milita strike force overwhelmed the castle, liberating the citizens from servitude under the toxic Gallente king Roy Joffrey.
The tide is turning in South Placid. The far larger Gallente occupational forces continue struggling to make progress. Morale is falling, as with each step they take forward, they end up two steps backwards.
