Breaking Down My First $10k Month (as an entrepreneur)

How I did it and key lessons learned

Although we often see the highlight reel of entrepreneurship on social media, the reality couldn’t be more different. It took me 15 months of failure and volatility to (finally) match my corporate salary ($10k/mo). Here, I share behind-the-scenes of the journey to this milestone and key lessons learned along the way.

Quitting Corporate

In July 2023, I quit my dream job. It checked all the right boxes: 6-figure salary, prestigious company, fun co-workers, and interesting work. However, I realized that the security and comfort of corporate came at the cost of freedom and personal growth (which I valued more).

So, with ~1 year of runway in savings, I quit my job to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. If you want to read my full “quitting story,” I share it here.
