Now anyone can access, build, and edit their data flows directly in the browser from anywhere, putting full data preparation capabilities in the hands of anyone in the organization.”

Synaptics Expands into Low Power Edge AI Applications with New Katana Platform. “The combination of Synaptics’ ultra-low-power silicon and Eta Compute’s power- and cost-optimized software will become a catalyst for customer innovation,” said Dr. Ted Tewksbury, CEO of Eta Compute. “Together, the optimized solution will enable the proliferation of AI edge inferencing in a wide range of existing applications, as well as new applications that were never thought to be possible.”

Uberflip Reduces Data Prep from Five Weeks to One Day, Achieves Near Real-Time Product Data Analysis with Matillion ETL for Snowflake. “Uberflip uses a lot of data from multiple sources within our business to serve the needs of our internal and external stakeholders. Our team needed an intuitive solution that required only one full-time data engineer to implement and manage,” said Greg Achenbach, VP of product at Uberflip.

Talend Opens Second Cloud Data Center in Europe to Support Stitch Customer Growth. “We are extremely proud to announce that our newest European Data Centre is now open for business, exclusively for Stitch customers,” said Gareth Vincent, SVP of Sales EMEA, Talend. “Today, data is at the heart of everything we do,” says Guillaume Porquier, Information Systems Director, at children’s fashion retailer, Tape à l’œil.

BigID and MongoDB Deliver Scalable Data Intelligence. “Our strategic partnership with BigID will allow our customers to meet their enterprise data requirements and leverage MongoDB Atlas or MongoDB Enterprise Advanced. BigID’s approach to data privacy, security, and governance is innovative and we’re excited to support our joint customers.” said Sarah Branfman, VP, Partners at MongoDB.

“We’re thrilled to partner with MongoDB and offer our joint customers more powerful solutions to manage, protect, and scale their data.” said Will Murphy, VP, Business Development & Alliances.

Trifacta Teams with Accenture to Streamline Data Preparation for Life Sciences Companies. “Cloud Dataprep will play a critical role in making sure the data that fuels analysis is correctly prepared and accessible,” said Bob Cole, managing director, INTIENT product engineering and delivery lead at Accenture. “We are thrilled to be working with Accenture to help them drive life science companies’ efforts to deliver better patient outcomes,” said Adam Wilson, CEO of Trifacta.

Capital Raise Announcements

Hightouch raises $2.1M to help businesses get more value from their data warehouses. The round was led by Afore Capital and Slack Fund, with a number of angel investors also participating.

Anomalo nabs $5.95 million for AI data validation tools. First Round Capital and Foundation Capital participated in the seed funding round. Anomalo founders Elliot Shmukler and Jeremy Stanley met at Instacart, where they were head of growth and VP of data science, respectively.

OpenSensors raises £3m to make workplaces COVID safe. Yodit Stanton, CEO and founder of OpenSensors, commented: “There is a real opportunity for humanity to rethink how we use the physical world with sustainability in mind as well as making the design of workplaces better for people using them.

Scott Sage, Partner at investor Crane Venture Partners added: “With data insights, real-world usage and known customer references, OpenSensors has all the ingredients to become a trusted advisor and solutions provider throughout COVID-19 and the immediate recovery, as well as supporting the shift towards more flexible working that COVID-19 has accelerated.”
