The human brain controls all the mundane systems and their processes. From the Central Nervous System down to the Reproductive System, our brains run the entire show of the human film.

A human brain consists of 3 main parts, each with specifically assigned purposes, and through coherence and symphony among the parts, we can create our desired realities.

Our brains are our best friends and the master keys to our most valued faculties: a vivid memory and superior imagination skills. Einstein once said that imagination is more valuable than knowledge, and both activities happen in the brain.

How we perceive, react, respond, and interact with our surroundings depends on our psychological functionality and status, a vital reason to keep our brains healthy.

Like maintaining good physical health through regular exercising, cultivating superior brain coherence and functionality is by keeping the mind active.

Crafting a brain ritual that toughens and sharpens our minds is a great way to stay resourceful, young, productive, and timeless. Though our brains’ abilities and potential differ uniquely, several scientifically proven exercises work on all our brains despite the differences.

The following are three scientifically proven fun practices to sharpen our brains:

Dancing

Dance therapy is a significantly potent practice that toughens our bodies and brains. Coordinating our bodies with our brains’ rhythm, memory, and imagination sharpens our motor and memory skills.

Through dancing, we establish symphony within three brain muscles: memory retention, motion, and imagination, which increases balance, rhythm dimensions, and ease of movement.

The more intricate and involving the dance is, the more powerful and resilient our brains get. Learning a dance trains our brains to focus, be attentive, cooperate, observe, maneuver past challenging steps, and innovate.

Each time we activate a brain muscle, we reduce our stress levels, formulate new neural connections, push and grow our abilities, and extend our potential.

An active brain is an evolving, nourished brain. Our brains are naturally lazy and continuously seek to conserve energy; therefore, challenging them with something fun exposes them to a thrilling experience and creates a need to keep pushing forward for more.

  • Listening to Music

Music runs the world, and everybody loves music; this is probably the most fun way to keep our brains sharp. Through music, we help our brains strengthen our listening, hearing, learning, memory, and coordination skills by familiarizing ourselves with the components of the song.

We learn new vocabulary, rhythm, rhyming, concentrating, and remembering. The more we listen to enjoyable music, the faster our listening, hearing, imagining, and memory-retaining skills become.

Since the sounds are calming and rewarding, the brain stays motivated to keep growing and remain active, improving our psychological alertness, memory, sleep, and blood flow to the brain parts that develop and control emotions.

Music has aided talk therapy, speech development, mental health recovery, and concentration skills. It also reduces blood pressure, pain, and anxiety.

  • Playing Cards

Playing cards expose the brain to limitless opportunities to win, which motivates the brain and helps secrete happy hormones through every conquered milestone. It trains the brain to think outside the box and defy the limiting factors that keep the brain biased and limited.

Playing cards teaches our brains positive manipulative and maneuvering skills to accomplish a task and sharpen our ability to resolve mundane problems in our daily lives.

It helps cultivate resilience against challenges and heightens our creativity toward innovative and viable ways to be fruitful. It also helps protect and sustain our cells.

Our brains are the most treasured gifts; we should guard them with all our breaths. Sharpening and toughening them equates to keeping them healthy and nourished. Aging, a human cycle we all have to undergo, challenges our functional capacity, and by caring and sharpening our brains, we can control how good or poorly aging happens by keeping our brains active and engaged.
