A Short Homage

How often do you acknowledge an act of kindness from a stranger?

The thing is, those random acts of kindness act as a reminder that there is still a lot of good in the world, and that people are happy to demonstrate this.

We can often feel trapped within the web of the world and think or feel that it is against us.

Just when those lift doors are about to close, or when the subway doors are about to close on you after a stressful day, it’s often a stranger who saves the day.

They may hold the lift for you.

Humanity is back!

If we look for kindness, we find kindness. If we’re always looking for negativity, then that is what we find.

Acts of selflessness towards us are cherished. They’re not expected. If and when they happen, we can express our gratitude and feel the warmth and kindness that the stranger has radiated into our self, as a person.

As a sign off, I would like to point out, that if we are blinkered to kindness in the world, then I wonder how much we could miss. If we could pull our way out of the negativity we may be holding on to,in our lives, then maybe we could open our eyes to the good in others.

I like to write from experience and with authenticity, and hope it resonates with others 😊
