We recently published three new StoryEngine interviews based on our work telling the stories of the members of the Hive Learning Network in New York City.

First up is Lori Rose Benson. At the time of the interview Lori worked at the YMCA of Greater New York and was leading the Y-MVP digital badges program. She currently leads Hip Hop Public Health, a non-profit dedicated to empowering youth around the globe with the knowledge and skills to make healthier choices, reducing preventable health conditions and the rising tide of childhood obesity. Read her story!

The second one is with Dixie Ching. As a doctoral student in the educational communication and technology program at NYU, she co-led with Rafi Santo the Hive Research Lab, a research-practice-partnership with the Hive NYC Learning Network, a community of youth-serving institutions offering innovative out-of-school digital making programs. Currently Dixie is a senior user experience researcher at Google, where she supports education-related products and services through strategic research and partnerships. Read her story!

Our third is with Rita Geladze. She is the Founder of Educators Camp, a network of educators dedicated to providing exceptional professional development services, youth-driven curriculum design, and capacity building workshops. She has been active in the internet health movement as a Hive NYC member and is part of Mozilla’s cohort of “Network50.” Read her story!
