Vita Kogan’s class wrote poetry to learn how rhymes work, and they turned out to be really great, so here we share the three highest-voted poems (voted by the class members). This one is by Hannah Etheridge.
no matter the time, no matter the day
i trudge down t’spoons to chug me troubles away
could go in a group, could go on me own
the ugly brown chair’s like a golden throne
each pitcher’s a joy, can’t even concede it,
move that extra glass love, i don’t even need it
with two for twelve pounds and breakfast all day,
not even ol’ Boris can keep me away
