We are incredibly excited to announce the official launch of The Delta Studio, a proudly South African startup studio, focused on validating, building and scaling startups in emerging markets.
The concept behind our company was born in 2018. We had assembled an amazing group of people, who loved building high quality products, but we weren’t 100% sure of where we wanted to focus as a business. We considered becoming a digital agency, working with clients to build awesome products, but as a team of experienced venture builders and product specialists, we didn’t feel that was enough.
We had some incredibly exciting products being developed within the business, and we slowly started to realise that they were all very similar; we were continuing to pick projects which were early stage startups, and we weren’t just developing their product. We were jumping in, boots and all, working with the startup from validation stage, through design, brand funding, development, all the way through to product launch.
More often than not, we had one or more third parties involved in the projects who were either a corporate supporting the startup or traditional investors. They did not have the expertise or resources to support, build or scale startups, so they turned to The Delta Studio, because that is what we are good at.
With a team of experienced venture builders, we realised that there was a massive opportunity for us to share our expertise and work with young startups to help them to build successful products. It also happened to be something that we love to do; for us, there is nothing more rewarding then working with founders and companies to help them to build new businesses.
Since then, The Delta Studio has focused on building the foundations that will enable us to become the leading venture builder in South Africa. Our mission is simple

We will be sharing every step of our journey as we grow on our Instagram and Medium channels. We currently have 4 incredibly promising startups within our current cohort, who will all be launching products to market in the next few months. We will be introducing them one by one, as well as the incredible members of The Delta Studio team who work on them.
