Two Meat Lovers…Two Slices Wasted, in G Major is a desperate plea for understanding in a world that is cruel, unflinching, and decidedly devoid of empathy. This ethos speaks to the universal human experience of hiding our vulnerabilities to avoid being hurt…

A world that is cruel, unflinching, and decidedly devoid of empathy

Background

“Two Meat Lovers…Two Slices Wasted” in G Major was born from a moment of profound frustration and loss. The composer experienced a “last straw” incident on an unremarkable Sunday afternoon, when he accidentally dropped on the floor the last two slices of his Meat Lover’s pizza, rendering them inedible. This seemingly trivial mishap symbolized a deeper, irretrievable loss.

He realized that, no matter what, even if he rushed back to the store to buy another pizza; the unique, singular experience of enjoying those particular slices was now gone forever. This realization of sudden, permanent, irreversible loss unleashed a torrent of emotions; bringing to the surface the pain, anguish, rage, and bitterness hitherto buried deep within.
