Reflections on tulips galore!

If you are visiting The Netherlands in the spring, there is only one thing that is necessary for you to do — go to Keukenhof.

Keukenhof is a garden in The Netherlands that celebrates the tulip. There are rows and rows of different kinds of tulips planted during the winter and for just over a month, this garden is open for everyone to enjoy its glory.

My friends and I had our tickets for mid-morning and we arrived on Sunday, the day after Kings Day. We did this by accident, booking our tickets all the way back in November — thinking the tickets would sell out.

The park was full of families and there were areas where it was difficult to walk — almost impossible to go against the crowd — but there were many many tranquil places. The park was full of people but it was still a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy the flowers.

We managed to do a loop of the entire park which took way less time than we had thought…
