When we were happy
We held onto hands so much larger than our own
We skated down long hallways of polished wood floors in our dirty socks
We rang doorbells and excitedly waited for a much-loved voice to ask, “Who is it?”
We wore new Holiday dresses and shiny shoes with little gold buckles
We were all here
