Senior Exit Interview : Josh Shaffer
Design Master, Josh Shaffer, has been working with the Corps for three years now.
When he first started working with the Corps, Josh had the opportunity to work on an interactive game that allowed for the creation of the infamous game team.
“It was so immense, it encompassed the entire Corps, every single person within the Corps itself had to come together and work on this project,” said Josh.
This particular project showed Josh that he was able to take on anything, because he learned how to work with many teams and a lot of moving deadlines. Working in the environment that he did, Josh was able to see the nature of “how this sort of stuff works”.
Josh could write a book on all of the things he has learned to do at the Corps. Working with clients, doing pitches and a lot of the non-technical things that come with being able to get real-world experience.
The goal for Josh after graduation is to get a job that involves design and web development.
“I just wanna do something with technology and obviously the Internet is the future of that, so I’m assuming I’ll be doing something forward facing technology wise with design.”
His dream job isn’t really working for a certain place or person, Josh just wants to make sure he is staying creative and pushing himself to be better.
“It doesn’t matter where it is. It could be for some little startup down the street, or it could be for some big conglomerate working in New York,” said Josh, “If they’re someone who’s gonna give, who has a vision and has an idea and wants to push things forward and so-forth, that’s amazing, that sounds great.”
